Happy One Year Anniversary!
God is not good, He's great.
Thinking back, it took a lot to get to where we are today. We've learned a ton in our first year of marriage, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. He is mine and I am his. We've become quite cozy in our one bedroom apartment and have learned to enjoy the simplicity of our life with just the two of us. We are best friends, and it's a really peaceful feeling knowing that someone will be there to catch you at the end of the day. I'm guilty of being fairly idealistic when it comes to love. I'm a sucker for a chick flick and spontaneous love notes. Well, if you want to get technical, I sometimes picture my love life as a scene from The Notebook. You know, "If I'm a bird, you're a bird." Okay girls, admit there's a part of you that seriously swooned over Ryan Gosling in not one, two, but at least three scenes. Obviously. It's the kind of movie that makes guys everywhere legitimately want to burn every last copy, just so they don't have to be held anywhere near that unattainable standard. And while real life isn't a scene from The Notebook, I would argue it's better. Those 'rough spots' in your marriage allow you to grow, and it's in those moments, I am reminded why we are partners.
This past year has been the best year of my life, and I feel like God has been so incredibly good to us. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him and can't wait to experience the rest!

Chaz, Steffanie and Baby Colton
Steffanie was a sorority sister of mine in college and is such a sweet girl. I've always thought she was beautiful, but wow, she is one hot pregnant mama! I met Stef in her hometown of Frisco and Chaz warned us that rain was headed our way. We immediately started shooting, hoping to miss the rain. Luckily, it held off and let us get the shots we wanted. Talk about a cute belly. I'm so happy for them. Colton is one blessed little man.
Jordan, Emily and Baby Hudson
I'm fairly sure couples don't come sweeter than this one. It was so much fun shooting this session because each time I gave them direction, they ran with it. Emily wasn't afraid to do what I asked, even when it involved trudging through terrain in heels while ready to pop. Jordan was a great sport as well! Not to mention, a gentleman. This will be one lucky little boy.

Tadah!
Tadah! My new blog is finally up and running. It's still a bit in the works, but I have so much going on that I couldn't wait to share. In the next few weeks, I will be adding links that will navigate to other pages, but for now I am ready to post.
As some of you know, I've recently taken up photography as a side hobby. Things have taken off quicker than I imagined, which I'm thrilled about. But, that means I've got to step up my game if I want to get serious. My hopes for this blog is that it will be a place where I can share my work and progress throughout this journey. So, hopefully you will check back every now and then to see what's new.
Thanks for stopping by...
